Have You Changed Your Glory?

You may be wondering what I am talking about, but I discovered
something about this in my Bible reading a few weeks ago....and
it caused me to stop and think......

My Country 'Tis of Thee

In the last post I mentioned there was a last verse of "The Star-Spangled
Banner" most hymn books leave out.

Well, I found there was a middle verse of "My Country 'Tis of Thee"
taken out in 1833......

"No more shall tyrants here
 with haughty steps appear
 and soldier-bands ;

No more shall tyrants tread
 above the patriot dead -
 no more our blood be shed
 by alien hands."

Maybe it's time to add them back into the song........

               God, please bless America!

Happy Independence Day!

What a blessed country we live in! Take time to think of what made our
country great....... a foundation built on God & His Word.

Take time to thank God for His blessings on our country... and ask for
His help to make it great once again.

And take time to sing our national anthem..."The Star-Spangled Banner"
Here is the last verse that is not found in most hymn books....
(I have a collection of them and only found it in one.)

"Blest with victory and peace, may the Heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!

Then conquer we must when our cause it is just.
And this be our motto: " In God is our trust."

And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave."
