which pierces the Master's heart
with unutterable grief,
it is not the
world's iniquity,
but the Church's indifferences.
Think about this quote....let it sink down deep...
I read an interesting devotional thought by this man,
F.B. Meyer, today in my Bible entitled "Willing to be Led"
based on Psalm 23:2. After I got done my devotions, I
looked him up online. He was born Frederick Brotherton
Meyer in London in the year 1847. He was a Baptist pastor
and evangelist who came to know D.L. Moody. He
traveled to America many times and died in 1929 at
the age of 82.
I left up the page so I could read some of his quotes.
There are so many good ones, but that one at the top
of this page! That one got me!
Imagine this, he is speaking of the church back in HIS
day! How much more indifferent are we today....how
sobering! How convicting!
*I also went on Thriftbooks and ordered 3 of his books!
His biography, a devotional & a study of the book of Romans!
I am REALLY looking forward to that last one!!!
