So much of this I wish I had read and instituted when all my children
were little. Homeschooling was a great way to have Bible time with them,
yet I wish now I had started earlier.....though I am very proud of all our
children and how they have all chosen to have a close walk with the Lord!

That last quote...."one day your children..."......WHEW! It really caught my
attention! I know our home life was not perfect, but I think the Lord really
intervened and helped us produce some fine adults! Sinful man can only
produce sinful men were it not for the grace of GOD! Thank you Lord!

I'm Back....

Well, it has been a long time! And even though we have had internet at home
now for about a month, I am just not that interested in technology anymore...
to a certain point! 😊

As I think how much I want to post on here more frequently now, I am also
hesitant because I want there to be purpose to what I am doing. At the same
time, I do not want to act like I have all the answers for the world....because
even if I did have them, not many people even read this anymore!! Anyway...

There is a certain part of me that really likes the simpler times, days when
people would actually sit on their front porch and talk or spend good quality
time together.....leaving technology put away. I know this is mostly wishful
thinking and I really didn't grow up in that time, but I do wish sometimes
that things were simpler....less technology, though I know some things are
nice....Facetime for one. I guess I am just noticing that people are BUSY!!
This technology that was supposed to make things easier for everyone has only
given us a reason to pile more on our plates!

With all that said, I'll get on with the real reason I wanted to post!🤣

I am reading a book by Pastor Jim Townsley titled "A Heart For The Home".
He does a lot of reminiscing in the book and I think this sparked all that at the
beginning of this post!....Here is something I found interesting....

"Marriage principles that worked in the past still work today. Though the Bible
truths concerning marriage were written hundreds of years ago human nature
has remained unchanged. Old does not necessarily mean bad. Simple common
sense principles are illustrated by the following comments:

   shave your face in the mirror every morning.

I thought those were good. And some are funny too! I'll probably put other things
from the book on here as I find them.
